MMB firmware update via HTTP
The MMB firmware can also be updated via HTTP.
The HTTP transfer/download from a WEB server is similar to the update method via TFTP. The Firmware Update
page got the new radio button for the HTTP protocol:
1. Open the MMB WebUI and navigate to Operation → Firmware Update.

2. In the Firmware Update Settings (TFTP/HTTP) frame, select the HTTP radio button (between Protocol and HTTP).
3. Specify the server in the Server Adress/Name text field as IP address (IPv4 or IPv6) or DNS name.
4. Enter the firmware filename in the Update File text field as path name in the same way as in the flash procedure
via TFTP.
5. Enter the user name in the Server Account text field, enter the password and repeat the password in the Confirm
Password text field.
6. Press the Test Connection button.
The MMB shows the result in the Status: line.
7. Select the Firmware Update Mode with one of the three radio buttons:
– Master MMB Update (master only)
– Slave MMB Update (slave only)
– Dual MMB Update (both MMBs)
8. Press the Start Update button.
The MMB copies the file, checks format and integrity and starts the flash procedure if no error occurred. In the
case of errors the user will be informed by a status message in the same way as in the flash procedure via
TFTP.
After reboot of the MMB Management Blade-<n> USB upgrade success (where <n> = 1 or 2) can be read as entry
in the MMB event log.
