Modem settings and their meaning:
Exchange digit The exchange digit
depends on your
telephone system.
A w indicates that the
modem will wait for a
dial tone.
A comma (,) indicates
a dial pause.
Type in the exchange digit using the
numeric keys. The exchange digit may
comprise several digits. Usually, a 0
(zero) is used.
By pressing W you determine that the
AIT
modem waits for the dial tone after dialing
the exchange digit.
By pressing P
AUSE
pause of 2 seconds.
