SERVICE CALL CONDITIONS
CODE #53 — FUSING ERROR 2
- Definition -
•
The temperature detected by the thermistor becomes higher than
255°C during copying, or 245°C during stand-by.
To clear this error, refer to note 3 at the beginning of this chapter
in the base copier's manual.
- Possible Causes -
•
Thermistor short
•
Defective ac drive/dc power supply board
•
Defective main control board
•
Fusing harness shorted
•
Triac short
CODE #54 — FUSING ERROR 3
- Definition -
•
The fusing lamp stays on for longer than 53 (NA) or 68 (EU) seconds
while the main motor is off.
•
The temperature detected by the thermistor does not change more
than 20°C when the fusing lamp stays on for 17 (NA) or 19 (EU)
seconds when the main motor is off.
To clear this error, refer to note 3 at the beginning of this chapter
in the base copier's manual.

Main board
•
Defective ac drive/dc power supply board
