CHAPTER 8 - CONTROL SOLUTION TESTING
Out-of-range results may be due to:
• Not following the instructions detailed in this chapter.
Expired or contaminated control solution.
•
Expired or damaged test strip.
•
Use of a test strip or control solution past its discard date.
•
A problem with your meter remote.
•
CAUTION: Do Not use the test strips or control solution after the expiration date printed on the
vial or discard date, whichever comes first, or BG test results may be inaccurate.
CAUTION: Do Not use the test strips if your vial is damaged or left open to the air. This could
lead to error messages or tests that read higher than the actual value. Call Customer Service at
1 877 937-7867 immediately if the test strip vial is damaged.
