Tip
Before you change the spring preload, make a note of the groove in which the securing clip is positioned. When making adjust-
ments, always start from the standard setting.

Jack up the vehicle. (

Clean the shock absorber thoroughly.

Press the spring pack and the spring retainer
accessible.
–
Using pliers, position the securing clip in one of the upper grooves. Do not overstrain
the securing clip.
–
Release the spring pack and measure the length of the unloaded spring pack.
