TROUBLESHOOTING
Faults
Engine turns but does not start.
The engine cannot be cranked (electric
starter).
Engine does not speed up.
Possible cause
Socket connector of CDI control device,
pulse generator or ignition coil oxidized
Water in carburetor or jets blocked
Idle speed is set too high
Emergency OFF switch with rip cord faulty
Throttle lever activated
Switch for throttle lever faulty
Throttle valve sensor TPS incorrectly set or
faulty
Operating error
Battery discharged
Main fuse burned out
Low external temperature
Carburetor running over because float nee-
dle dirty or worn
Loose carburetor jets
Action
–
Clean socket connector and treat it with
contact spray.

Clean carburetor.

Carburetor - adjust the idle speed.
