• The DigtaScan must be inserted and latched into the
portable dictation machine (see also "Plugging in,
Unplugging").
– Only when the DigtaScan is plugged in are the asso-
ciated menu items available on the dictation machine.
• Switch on the dictation machine.
• Push the slide switch to »
• Press the »MENU« button.
• Use the Up/Down button » « or » « to select
»Barcode reader« and then press the »OK« button.
• Use the Up/Down button » « or » « to select
»Programming«.
– The »Programming Barcode reader« menu function
appears in the display.
Note:
»RESET«, see also "Restoring the default settings".
• Scan in the programming code with the »SCAN« button.
– The machine acknowledges the successful reading of the
code with a single signal tone, and the laser beam shuts
off.
– You can scan any number of programming codes
consecutively with the »SCAN« button.
Note:
If the machine cannot read a code, it emits a double signal
and displays the message »No barcode found«.
Confirm the error message with »OK«.
• Once you have made all the settings, press the »END«
button to quit the menu.
