PREPARATIONS
Warning:
The dictating machine gives an optical and audible war-
ning of weak rechargeable batteries. This is however only
the case when using Grundig 462 rechargeable batteries.
When using Grundig 462 rechargeable batteries there is
also the guarantee that if the batteries may become com-
pletely drained the current task will be stopped in good
time, and the dictation saved.
As a result of technical differences between Grundig
rechargeable batteries and some other makes, it is possi-
ble that part or all of the dictation could be lost if original
Grundig rechargeable batteries are not used.
Rechargeable batteries from other manufacturers are
identified by the dictation machine as non-rechargeable
batteries, and shown in the display by the »

Charging the rechargeable battery

• Switch off the dictation machine.
• Plug the power supply into a wall outlet.
• Plug the power supply cord into the »DC IN 3V – - - -« dicta-
tion machine socket.
– The charging indication will be displayed after a short
time.
– The empty rechargeable batteries will be recharged
after approximately 3 hours; the charging indication
then disappears.
• Disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet and
remove the power supply cord from the »DC IN 3V – - - -«
socket.
