Ending recording

DICT
Fast forward or rewind during a recording also ends the
recording.
Note:
When recording is ended, the date and the time are saved
along with every dictation (displayed only on the PC).
Warning:
Electronic devices such as a digital dictation machine can
suffer malfunctions due to electrical discharge.
If you are electrically charged when you touch a dictation
machine which is already switched on, the device some-
times switches off to prevent further damage. If a record-
ing was in process, check that the current dictation is com-
plete. You may have to re-record a few seconds of text.
Note on dictations that are longer than 5 hours:
Once the dictation limit of 5 hours is reached, a new
dictation will be created automatically with the following
name:
< Original dictation name > + < letter starting with A to Z >.
Example:
DICT001.DSS (initial 300 minutes);
DICT001.DSS (second 300 minutes);
DICT001.DSS (third 300 minutes).
You will hear a double warning tone when a new dictation
is created.
