Remove the carburetor side cover.
Insert the needle of spray can in the
end of throttle cable adjuster.
WARNING
Always wear eye protection and
gloves when you lubricate a ca-
ble.
NOTE: Place a rag around the throttle
cable adjuster to prevent the lubricant
splash.
Add lubricant until it runs out at carbu-
retor end of the throttle cable.
Reinstall and adjust the cable.
Throttle Lever Adjustment
Slide rubber protector back to expose
throttle cable adjuster.
Loosen lock nut then turn the adjuster
to obtain correct throttle lever free play.
NOTE: Measure throttle free play at the
tip of throttle lever.
Tighten lock nut and reinstall protector.

1. Throttle lever
A. 3 to 6 mm (1/8 to 7/32 in)
With the transmission lever on PARK
position, start the engine. Check if the
throttle cable is adjusted correctly by
turning handlebar fully right then fully
left. If the engine RPM increases, re-
adjust the throttle lever free play.

Quest MAX and Traxter MAX Series
Lubrication
A-Arms
Lubricate front A-arms. Use suspen-
sion synthetic grease (P/N 293 550
033). There are two grease fittings on
the upper A-arm and two on the lower
A-arm (underneath).

Inspection
A
A-Arms
Check A-arms for cracks, bending or
other damages. See an authorized
Bombardier ATV dealer as necessary.
Swing Arm
Check swing arm for distortion, cracks or
bending. See an authorized Bombardier
ATV dealer if any problem is detected.
Shock Absorbers
Inspect shock absorber for oil leaks and
fasteners for tightness. See an autho-
rized Bombardier ATV dealer as neces-
sary.
