Adjustment
Rear Shocks
WARNING
Left and right adjusting cams must
always be set at the same position.
Never adjust one adjusting cam
only. Uneven adjustment can
cause poor handling and loss of
stability, which could lead to an ac-
cident.
Preload Adjustment
Adjust spring preload by turning ad-
justing cam accordingly with the ad-
justing wrench in vehicle tool box.
Turn the adjusting cams clockwise for a
firmer ride and rough road condition or
when carrying cargo or pulling a trailer.
Turn the adjusting cams counterclock-
wise for a light load and a smooth road
condition.

Brake

Quest MAX and Traxter MAX Series
WARNING
Any brake system repair should
be performed by an authorized
Bombardier ATV dealer.
The front brakes are hydraulic disc types.
These brakes are self-adjusting and re-
quire no adjustment.
The rear brake employs two systems.
The first system uses a cable; an ad-
justment is necessary. See an autho-
rized Bombardier ATV dealer. The sec-
ond system is hydraulic and requires
no adjustment. The systems are linked
together for a higher efficiency.
Inspection
Check the following to keep the
brakes in a good operating condition:
– brake system for fluid leaks
– brake for spongy feel
– brake discs for excessive wear
and surface condition
– brake pads for wear, damage
or looseness.
