12.5.10 IA Switch Types

IA Switch Types is used to set the switch behavior for Instant Access Switches.
PARAMETER

" footswitches select between Instant Access Switch Number and Switch Type parameters.
Select an IA Switch by its number, then press
Toggle:
(DEFAULT) AKA "Latching" switches send their On messages when pressed ON (changing the LED to green)
and their off messages when pressed OFF (changing their LED to RED).
Momentary:
AKA "Hold" switches send their ON message streams when pressed and their OFF message streams when
released.
Auto Off:
Stepping on the selected switch will send both ON and OFF messages in quick succession (~250ms apart).
Switch type behaviors apply whether the selected switch is set up for an Axe-‐Fx function or for general use.
12.5.11 Global IA Switch Setup

Global IA Switch setup determines whether IA Switches retain their settings across preset changes. Global IA switch data for
the current state is re-‐transmitted after every preset change. While Axe-‐Fx Mode is ON, IA Switches with Axe-‐Fx functions will
ignore this setting, using the saved information in the Axe-‐Fx preset (as usual) instead of operating globally.

IA Switch Send w/ Preset determines whether the IA Switch specified will transmit the MIDI payload for its on/off state—
whether stored or global—upon MFC-‐101 preset changes. While Axe-‐Fx Mode is ON, IA Switches with Axe-‐Fx functions will
ignore this setting, using the saved information in the Axe-‐Fx preset (as usual) instead of operating globally.
