5.1 Outline

This chapter provides explanations on the adjustments required after dismantling and
reassembling this product.

5.1.1 Conditions for Adjustments

This section describes the adjustments that are required after repair or replacement of
specific parts of Stylus Photo 925. Some adjustments must be performed by specified
procedures. Therefore, observe the instructions given in "CAUTION" below and
conduct the required adjustments properly in correct sequence by referring to .

By referring to
Table 5-1 "Adjustments Required in Repair and
C A U T I O N
Order of
Adjustments", make all the necessary adjustments in
the specified order. Adjustments conducted in a wrong order will
directly impair print quality.

C++ language used in the adjustment program is supported by
personal computers with Windows 98 or Windows Me. With
Macintosh or any other personal computer that does not support
bidirectional communication system, the adjustment program
does not run normally, thus you can not make the adjustment.
Be sure to use Windows 98 or Windows Me to run the
adjustment program.

For initial ink charge, if you use the currently used cartridge
forcibly, Ink Out error may occur during operation. If Ink Out
error has occurred, replace the ink cartridge with a new one and
perform the same operation once again.

Before executing protection counter clear by the adjustment
program, make certain that the waste ink pad has been replaced.
If not, ink may leak from the lower housing.
Table 5-1 indicates the repair items that require adjustments and the order in which the
adjustments must be made:
