    Loading and Using Roll Paper The printer accepts roll paper in widths of 4 inches and 8.3 inches; however, when printing in stand-alone mode (without connecting the printer to a computer), the printer’s built-in layouts work only with 4-inch roll paper. With PRINT Image Matching, you can get beautiful print results from all your digital photos, easily and automatically.     Unless you have the optional preview monitor (shown to the right), it’s a good idea to start by printing an index, so you can select your photos by number.     Selecting One Photo You can select a photo, then print one or more copies of it on a page using a variety of layouts. With the Copies option, you can print up to 100 copies of your selected layout. If you don’t have the optional preview monitor, first print an index to identify the photos on the memory card (as described on page 23).

    Selecting a Set of Photos You can select two or more photos, then print them as a group using a variety of layouts. If you’ve selected more photos than can fit on a page, the printer automatically prints additional pages as needed, using the same layout. You can also print information such as your camera settings and the date and time your photos were taken directly on your printed photos. Printing Crop Marks Except on letter-size paper, you can add crop marks to all your photos when printing two or four photos per sheet.

    Printing with Iron-On Transfer Paper With EPSON Iron-On Transfer Paper (part number S041153, 20 sheets—or S041155, 50 sheets), you can transfer your photos and other images to T-shirts, aprons, or just about any cotton or cotton-blended fabric. The printer automatically creates a mirror-image of your photo so that any text looks correct once it’s transferred.

    Saving Your Image Files If you don’t have a computer, you can save the image files that are in your camera’s memory card on a Zip disk.     Copying Photos to Your Computer If you’ve taken digital photos with your camera, you can copy them to your computer using PhotoStarter and CardMonitor. These utility programs were automatically installed with your printer driver, and they detect when you insert a memory card in your printer and automatically copy the photos to your computer.

    P.I.M., P.I.M II, or Exif Print image. Instead, it converts that information in the file and embeds a color space called EPSON RGB 2001. This profile supports all the P.I.M. color advantages and enhancements.

    Cleaning the Print Head If your printouts are unexpectedly light or faint, or dots or lines are missing from the image, you may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines. You can clean the print head either from the printer’s control panel or using your printer software.

    Solving Problems with Paper Feeding Paper doesn’t eject fully or is wrinkled. If the paper doesn’t eject fully, you may have set the wrong paper size. Press the maintenance button to eject the paper, and then select the correct paper size. If it’s wrinkled when it ejects, the paper may be damp or too thin.
