Chapter 5 Operating the RF Modulator

Adjust the Frequencies of a Selected Carrier

Pressing the FREQ key allows you to access the output frequency screen, from which
you can select an RF output group and adjust the individual carrier (CH) output
frequency.
Important! Frequencies set from the front panel of the GoQAM are not recorded by
the DNCS. At the next GoQAM restart, the frequencies are reset to the values stored
in the DNCS.
Adjusting the Output Frequency
Follow these steps to adjust the output frequency.
1
Press FREQ on the front panel of the GoQAM. An output frequency setting (CH1
or CH2) appears with the frequency setting blinking.
Note: Each frequency setting (CH1 or CH2) reflects the channel number.
2
Press RF SEL to select a channel frequency setting.
Note: Press the RF SEL key repeatedly to view the RF output frequencies (CH1
or CH2).
3
Press the Up or Down Arrow keys to increase or decrease the output frequency
value of a selected RF module.
Note: The output frequency can be changed in 0.25 MHz increments from 91
MHz to 869 MHz. To increment or decrement the frequency value in 6 MHz
steps, press and hold the Up or Down Arrow keys for about 2 seconds.
4
Press ENTER. The system saves the output frequency changes to NVRAM and
the default screen appears.
