Instead of leaving written messages you can record messages for other occupants of your office
directly on your answering machine.
For recording, replaying and deleting the info message follow the steps in the Section "Recording /
replaying / deleting an announcement", Page 56

Switching the answering machine on/off

The answering machine can only be switched on if at least one announcement has been
recorded (see Section "Recording / replaying / deleting an announcement", Page 56).

An MSN that you have assigned to your answering machine is forwarded to a different
telephone number. When you switch on the answering machine the message delete
call forwarding is displayed. The reason why you should delete the call forwarding is
as follows: If an MSN which you have assigned to the answering machine is forwarded to a
different telephone number, the call forwarding has priority even though the answering
machine is switched on. This means that calls which arrive on the corresponding MSN are
not routed to the answering machine.
It is advantageous not to switch off the complete answering machine but individual MSNs
as required. For this purpose turn off the announcement text of the corresponding MSN.
Enter the sub menu Main menu/Answering machine/
Info message.
Press the ON/OFF key.
