Activating and deactivating announcements by timer can also mean timed activation and deac-
tivation of the answering machine. The answering machine only remains switched on if no other
announcements are assigned to an MSN.
To time the "Forwarding" function you need to enter the number to which the calls are to be
forwarded.

DTMF

As soon as a connection is established the telephone set switches automatically to dual-tone
multifrequency (DTMF) mode. You are now able to activate certain functions by means of DTMF
(e.g. remote message retrieval from answering machine).

Subaddress

The subaddress is used for the control of equipment that support subaddresses. Subaddresses can
only be entered as pre-dialling information. Eurit 40 does not evaluate incoming subaddresses.

Macros

Macros are commands you can enter in the card file. For example: Call forwarding on, switch to
fixed MSN, Do Not Disturb on, pauses. Macros therefore represent the menu items you already
have on your Eurit 40. The advantage is that you can store frequently used function settings in the
card file and activate them directly without having to scroll through menus.
