Telephoning via different providers
Irrespective of your network provider, you can telephone via other providers.
Telephone numbers can be assigned to specific providers as follows:
– You can automatically assign a provider to a prefix or telephone number (see "Programming
provider preselection", Page 35).
– You can assign a card entry to a fixed provider (see "Setting up the card file", Page 18).
This option is given priority over the above-mentioned provider preselection. This means that the
settings made here are executed even if they contradict the "Automatic provider preselection"
settings.
– If necessary, you can assign providers and telephone numbers or card file entries on an individu-
al basis (see "Call-by-call provider selection", Page 36). This option is given priority over the
above-mentioned options. This means that the settings defined here are executed even if they
contradict settings in the above options.
To utilise this option you must pre-program the selected providers in your Eurit 40:

You can pre-program up to seven providers:

To define the provider as a VIP entry (see "Dialling from the VIP directory", Page 22):
You must enter at least one character for the name, otherwise the provider cannot be programmed.
Go to the Functions/providers menu.
Press the Display key at Change provider.
Press the Display key at 1 (for example) to program a provider.
Enter the provider name.
Enter the provider code.
Press the Display key at VIP.
Press the Display key repeatedly at line until the desired number is
displayed.
Save.
