Conventions Used
in This Manual
The Opening
Screen
This manual uses certain typographical conventions to make it easier
for you to follow instructions. These conventions are described in the
following:
[Enter, or ↵] Press the Enter or Return key.
[Esc] Press the Escape key.
[Ctrl-S] Press the Control key and the letter that follows, simulta-
neously. In this example, the letter is S. The control key also appears
underlined in the menus.
[↑] [↓] [→] [←] Press the Arrow key with the symbol pointing in the
direction specified (i.e., up, down, left, or right).
<+> Press the key for the character or word enclosed in angle brack-
ets. In this case, the Plus sign key.
Invoke WaveCAD by double clicking on the icon. If you cannot find
the icon on your desktop, click on Start, Programs and WaveCAD.
The opening screen appears. If you installed the program correctly,
your screen should look like the one shown in Figure 3-1.
