8-42 Troubleshooting
Fail to access (read or write) to the floppy disk:
Does the floppy disk drive contain a floppy disk?
→ Insert a floppy disk into the floppy disk drive until it clicks.
Is the floppy disk write-protected?
→ Place the write-protect switch on the floppy disk to the "Write-enabled" position.
Is the floppy disk formatted?
→ Use a formatted floppy disk or format the floppy disk in the floppy disk drive.
Refer to the manual that comes with the OS for formatting a floppy disk.
Is BIOS configuration correct?
→ The USB device may be disabled with the BIOS setup utility of the server.
([Legacy Floppy] must have been disabled.)
Check the setting with the BIOS setup utility.

Is the server in the Secure Mode?
→ In the Secure Mode, write access to the floppy disk may be disabled. To release
the Secure Mode, enter the password specified with the BIOS setup utility.
Fail to access to the CD/DVD-ROM:
Is the CD/DVD-ROM properly set in the DVD-ROM drive tray?
→ The tray is provided with a holder to secure the CD/DVD-ROM. Make sure that
the CD/DVD-ROM is placed properly in the holder.
Is the CD/DVD-ROM applicable to the server?
→ The CD/DVD-ROM for Macintosh is not available for use.
