6. TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES
The scanner is recognized as connected by the operating system (in the Device Manager),
but the message "Scanner not found" is displayed in Scanning Master 21+ and the scanner
cannot be connected.
Cause
The "Model Setup" settings are not
correctly set in Scanning Master 21+.
The SCSI adapter device driver
(ASPI32) is not correctly installed.

6.3 The Control Panel's Red ERROR Lamp Is Lit

A hardware error at the ROM, RAM,
etc. occurred during the scanner's
self-test.

Set the "Model Setup" settings in Scanning Master
21+ to "CS2000."
For details, refer to the Scanning Master 21+ User's
manual.
(Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000/XP only)
(For Windows NT 4.0)
If EZ-SCSI is provided with the SCSI adapter:
Install EZ-SCSI provided with the SCSI adapter.
For details, refer to the SCSI adapter instruction
manual.
(For Windows 2000/XP)
If EZ-SCSI is provided with the SCSI adapter:
EZ-SCSI provided with the SCSI adapter is not
compatible with Windows 2000/XP.
Obtain the device driver (ASPI32) from Adaptec,
and install it.
If you have any inquiries, contact Adaptec.
(For both Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000/XP)
If a device driver (ASPI32) is not provided with the
SCSI adapter:
A device driver (ASPI32) is required.
Obtain the device driver (ASPI32) from Adaptec,
and install it.
If you have any inquiries, contact Adaptec.
An internal error has occurred. Contact your sales
representative or nearest Graphtec vendor.
