Paper-Out Detector
The Gemini printer is provided with a paper-out detector at the position
shown in Fig. 2-6.
When paper-out detection is performed
by
the paper-out detector, the Paper
Out Lamp is lit and the printer is stopped and put it in "off line" mode,
thus stopping the printer from recelvlng anymore data.
In such cases, it is necessary to reload paper in accodance with section
1-9.
This detection can be overridden or released temporarily by control code
"ESC 8" or "ESC 9" (refer to section 4-7) •

Self-Test Print Function
Self-test print function is pre-programmed in the Gemini printer.
With this function, the following tests are accomplished.
(1) Print head and print quality test
(2) Printer mechanism test
Test print function is triggered by the depression of the "LF" switch
while turning power on.
(Note) Test print function can not be executed if there is no paper.
