15.4 . Sensor Adjustment Mode Specifications
This mode adjusts the sensitivity of the sensor by adjusting the variable resistor on the PCB.

15.4.1. Sensor Adjustment Mode for PE/Black Mark (Standard Sensor)

<Operating Procedures>
1)
Set the paper in the PE sensor unit so that the printer recognizes that the system has paper.
2)
Power ON when DIPSW1-4 is OFF, and DIPSW 1-5 is OFF.
LED Flashes, and printer enters the sensor adjustment mode
3)
Looking from the bottom of the VR1, rotate VR1 and adjust so that Power LED is ON and Error LED is ON.
Sensor adjustment is not possible when it is not possible to adjust for Power LED = ON and Error LED = ON.

15.4.2. NE Sensor Adjustment Mode

<Operating Procedures>
1)
Set the paper in the NE sensor unit so that the printer recognizes that the system has paper.
2)
While pressing SW2, power ON when DIPSW1-4 is OFF, and DIPSW 1-5 is ON.
LED Flashes, and printer enters the sensor adjustment mode
3)
Looking from the bottom of the VR6, rotate VR6 and adjust so that Power LED is ON and Error LED is ON.
When sensor adjustment is not possible for Power LED = ON and Error LED = ON, adjust to Power LED = OFF
and Error LED = OFF.
If both adjustments cannot be made, it is not possible to adjust the sensor.
4)
Turn the power off. Set DIPSW1-4, and DIPSW1-5 to their original settings.

15.4.3. Presenter Paper Detector Sensor Adjustment Mode

1)
Set paper into the Presenter 1 portion.
2)
While pressing SW1, power ON when DIPSW1-4 is OFF, and DIPSW 1-5 is ON.
LED Flashes, and printer enters the sensor adjustment mode
3)
Looking from the bottom of the VR3, rotate VR3 and adjust so that Power LED is ON and Error LED is ON.
If Power LED = OFF and Error LED = OFF while you turn VR3, turn it slowly in the clockwise direction (do not turn
it back) to adjust it so that the Power LED = ON and the Error LED = ON. Sensor adjustment is not possible when
it is not possible to adjust for Power LED = ON and Error LED = ON.
4)
Turn the power off. Set DIPSW1-4, and DIPSW1-5 to their original settings.
Note:
1.
If turn VR in a direction that is different from what was indicated, be careful because it will
not be possible to make an accurate adjustment.
2.
It is necessary to adjust each time the printer enters the sensor adjustment mode.
3.
There is a point where the LED flashes instantly. That is not an adjustment position.
There is a point where the LED lights completely. That is the adjustment position.
