Print in uni-directional printing mode
eHR$ (27) CHR$ (85) CHR$ ( 1)
When ESC U 1 code is sent to the printer, all subsequent
lines are printed in uni-directional printing mode.
This mode is invoked by the super/subscript mode and by
the graphics mode.
Uni-directional printing is useful in printing tables and
charts, and ensures that columnar numbers and other
characters are in alignment.

Print in bi-directional printing mode
CHR$(27) CHR$(85) CHR$(O)
The ESC U 0 code is sent to the printer to cancel uni-
directional printing and return to the faster (standard)
bi-directional printing mode.
