Connecting to the Phone Lines
Important: By law in the United States, you must program your phone num-
ber identification (your CSI) into your machine before you can
connect it to the public phone system. See page 144.

Connect the phone line cord to the fax jack marked Line.(A)
El Connect the other end of the line into the phone line jack (on the wall or
on a cable).
El Connect the optional handset or your own telephone to the jack marked
Tel (B). Fix the ferrite core to the optional handset cord as shown,
