Tuple Shutdown Operation

This command removes IOPn and CEn from the Endurance server configuration. If necessary,
the CE operating system is shut down, and the IOP operating system is shut down. Both the CE
and the IOP attempt to rejoin the Endurance server configuration when they become available.
To permanently remove the tuple from the configuration, use the Tuple Disable Operation
command. However, before invoking the Tuple Disable Operation command, be sure to read
the warning about use of the command on page 5-82.

If the CE operating system is booted and the CE in the specified tuple is the

only one active, the CE operating system is shut down. If more than one CE
is active, the CE in the specified tuple is removed. The IOP in the tuple is
removed from the Endurance server and is shut down. Both the CE and the
IOP rejoin the Endurance server when they become available. To
permanently remove the tuple from service, use the Tuple Disable command.

Check the tuple status displayed in the Endurance Manager Main
window.
Issue a IOPn.Monitor Show Configuration command from either IOP to
make sure that the CE and IOP are offline and any associated components
(such as CEn.MIC) are offline.
Review the Windows Event Viewer for a message indicating that the CE
and IOP (and their copies of the Windows operating system) were shut
down.
