Power issues
Problem

PWR/ALARM LED does not light up after connecting the power adapter
and plugging the power cable into the connector
Solution
♦
Double-check the power connection
♦
Try reconnecting and rebooting the modem after you have unplugged the
power cable from the SMC70032AE ADSL modem's power jack for about
10 seconds
Network Connection issues
Problem
♦
Unable to get online
♦
ADSL Sync LED or LINK LED are not lit
♦
Power/Alarm LED is red or blinking red and green
Solution
♦
Check out the connection status of the SMC70032AE ADSL modem to the
ADSL line from the wall jack, ensuring that the POTS Micro filter has not
been placed on the ADSL line, and check the Ethernet connection to the
PC or hub
♦
Ensure that the Ethernet Card on the PC is functioning properly
♦
Double-check the operating status of PC, restarting if necessary
♦
Check out if right IP address has been selected for Telco online service
♦
If you are connected but don't seem to be online, you can check the
quality of your ADSL line by using the following procedures
