Port 2: 'bun/port=atm/rfc1483=true/mode=llcbridged/vpi=0/vci=35'
The example above is the default shipping configuration. It shows that the
Ethernet port (Port 1) has been enabled and that the ADSL line (Port 2) is using
ATM to communicate with the CO (Central Office). The mode is set to rfc1483
bridged with an encapsulation method of LLC and a VPI setting of 0 and VCI
setting of 35.

Changing ADSL Mode

The default ADSL Mode for the SMC70032AE is "Multi" mode (the modem will
Auto-sense the mode being used from the CO's DSLAM). To change this setting
to a specific mode you will need to enter the following command:
SMC70032AE> bsp [mode]. The mode choices are: glite (G.Lite), ansi (ANSI
T1.413 issue 2), gdmt (G.DMT), or multi (Multi sensing).
The example below demonstrates how to set the mode to G.DMT:
SMC70032AE> bsp gdmt
ADSL Mode is now Gdmt (0x00000002)
SMC70032AE> config save
Saving configuration...Configuration saved.
SMC70032AE> restart
You can confirm which "Mode" the SMC70032AE is in by issuing the
SMC70032AE> bsp mode command:
SMC70032AE> bsp mode
ADSL Modem Mode is: gdmt (State : SHOWTIME_L0)
