Connect directly through the serial port
You will see several lines of output on the screen of the terminal when you turn
on the SMC70032AE's power. This is the normal console output during startup.
This screen will be used for terminal access to enter commands once the router
has completed its startup procedures.
Please note: The Modem can also be accessed with Telnet; the default IP
Address is set to 192.168.1.1. Type "password" for password.

Showing the Physical Layer Status

You can check the connection statistics of the modem such as Physical Link Rate,
Error count, and DMT-tone by using the following CLI (Command Line Interface)
command:
