As shown above, the IP address will be allocated to the ppp_device once it has
been received from the CO's DHCP server.
The following command allows you to access VPI, VCI, authentication type and
user ID, and IP address information received from your PPP server and
transmission statistics:
SMC70032AE> ppp 1 info all
Note: If you wish to connect additional PCs you can connect the LAN port on the
SMC70032AE to a hub or switch. Set all the PCs connected to the Hub or
Switch to "Obtain an IP address automatically." You will also need to set up the
DHCP server functions as listed under the DHCP Server section.

PPPoA Bridged Mode(RFC2364)

When your service provider is using PPPoA and you will be connecting your PC(s)
to the service provider's network using the SMC70032AE modem as a bridge, you
need to enter the commands below to configure the modem in PPPoA Bridged
mode.
1. Remove all of the existing module devices
SMC70032AE> config reset bridge
SMC70032AE> ip device flush
SMC70032AE> config reset ppp
SMC70032AE> config save
Saving configuration...Configuration saved.
SMC70032AE> restart
2. Change the SMC70032AE to PPPoA Bridged Mode by using the commands
below.
SMC70032AE> bridge device add edd (to add Ethernet Port on the bridge)
SMC70032AE> bridge device add ppp/DEVICE=1 (setting up the bridge
port using RFC2364 (PPPoA) protocol on the WAN)
