Configuring Protocols through the CLI

RFC1483 Bridged Mode

The default shipped configuration of the SMC700032AE is:
♦ RFC1483 Bridged Mode
♦ VPI setting of 0
♦ VCI setting of 35
♦ LLC as the encapsulation method
To change the default settings or to change the mode to RFC1483 if the
SMC70032AE modem has been set to a different mode, follow the steps below:
1. At the Terminal console screen, remove the current configuration by
entering the commands in the box on the next page.
SMC70032AE> config reset bridge
SMC70032AE> ip device flush
SMC70032AE> config reset ppp
SMC70032AE> config save
Saving configuration...Configuration saved.
