The screenshot below is an example of the SMC70032AE being set up in "PPPoE
Routed" mode using the DHCP server function for the internal network and an
authentication method of CHAP for the ADSL port with a User ID of Hinet10 and
a four-character password. In addition, the VPI for this network has been set to
0 and the VCI has been set to 35. The LLC header mode has been turned off.
If you plan on installing PPPoE as a client on your PC instead of using the
modem as the PPPoE client, you will need to set the modem up in "RFC1483
Bridged" mode and enter the authentication information on your PC unless your
service provider indicates differently.
