PPPoE Routed Mode (RFC2516)

When your service provider is using PPPoE and you would like to have multiple
PCs on an internal network or do not want to install PPPoE client software on
your PC, you will use the commands below to configure the modem in PPPoE
Routed mode. Below is an example:
LAN Settings
♦
Subnet: 192.168.1.0
♦ Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
♦ Gateway: 192.168.1.1
1. Remove the existing configuration.
SMC70032AE> config reset bridge
SMC70032AE> ip device flush
SMC70032AE> config reset ppp
SMC70032AE> config save
Saving configuration...Configuration saved.
SMC70032AE> restart
2. Set the Ethernet gateway (the IP address of the SMC70032AE modem's
Ethernet interface).
