Starting the Terminal Emulation Session

If you would rather configure the SMC70032AE using commands instead of
through the Web console, you must first make sure you have connected the
serial console cable as described in Chapter 2 under Connecting Your
SMC70032AE. A terminal emulation program such must then be used. The
following examples use HyperTerminal.
Configure the VT100 terminal emulation program (such as HyperTerminal) with
the following settings:
♦ Bits per second -- 9600
♦ Data bits --
♦ 8Parity -- None
♦ Stop bits -- 1
♦ Flow control -- None
