2. At the Terminal screen set the SMC70032AE to bridged mode with the
following command "bridge device add edd". This will add an Ethernet
Port on the bridge.
3. To communicate on the ADSL line you will need to enter the command
"bridge device add bun/port=atm/rfc1483=true/mode=
llcbridged/vpi=x/vci=y". The "x" refers to the VPI value between 0 and
4095, and "y" refers to the value of the VCI between 1 and 65535. VPI and
VCI values, as well as the encapsulation method ("mode="), are administered
by your service provider.
4. Once the modem restarts, it will be in RFC1483 Bridged Mode using the
VPI, VCI, and encapsulation method you have specified.

RFC1483 Routed Mode

To define a separate internal network on the Ethernet port when using RFC1483,
you will need to set the modem in "RFC1483 Routed" mode. You can also set
the modem as a DHCP server.
The steps to configure the modem in "rfc1483 Routed" mode follow the example
below:
LAN Settings
LAN Subnet: 192.168.1.0
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
WAN Settings
WAN Subnet: 202.1.136.0
Gateway: 202.1.136.1
Modem's WAN IP: 202.1.136.2
1. Remove all of the existing module devices with the commands below
