In a fourth condition, when CMOS Non-Volatile Random Access Memory (NVRAM) has been
corrupted, you will see other prompts but not the <F2> prompt:
Warning:
cmos checksum invalid
Warning:
cmos time and date not set
In this condition, the BIOS will load default values for CMOS and attempt to boot.

Setup Menus

Setup has six major menus and several submenus:
1. Main Menu
Primary IDE Master and Slave
Keyboard Features
2. Advanced Menu
PCI Configuration
PCI Device, Embedded SCSI
PCI Devices
I/O Device Configuration
Advanced Chipset Control
3. Security Menu
4. Server Menu
System Management
Console Redirection
5. Boot Menu
Boot Device Priority
Hard Drive
6. Exit Menu
To:
Get general help
Move between menus
Go to the previous item
Go to the next Item
Change the value of an item
Select an item or display a submenu
Leave a submenu or exit Setup
Reset to Setup defaults
Save and exit Setup
When you see this:
On screen, an option is shown but you cannot
select it or move to that field.

Press:
<F1> or <Alt+H>
+ or -
<Enter>
<Esc>
<F9>
<F10>
What it means:
You cannot change or configure the option in that
menu screen. Either the option is autoconfigured
or autodetected, or you must use a different Setup
screen, or you must use the SSU.
