Mouse

If your system was delivered with a three-button Primax mouse, you may see a message that says
"MouseWare has detected a new Wheel Mouse...." and asks if you want to configure the new
device. If this happens, select No. If you experience any other anomalies while using the Primax
mouse, reinstall the mouse driver found on the Windows NT software CD-ROM.
If your system was delivered with a Logitech wheel mouse, you can find information on using it by
right-clicking the mouse icon in the taskbar tray, or by going to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Mouse
and clicking Help in the toolbar. If the wheel on the mouse does not function, or if you experience
any other anomalies while using the wheel mouse, install the
Intergraph System CD using InterSite Version Manager.

Mylex AcceleRAID 250 and Adaptec SCSI Controllers

If your system uses the Mylex AcceleRAID 250 RAID controller and an Adaptec 2940UW
controller, or other Adaptec controllers that include a BIOS, you may get an error message during
system startup that there is not enough free space for the Adaptec controller expansion ROM. If
this occurs, you should disable the expansion ROM for the RAID controller which is not connected
to the system boot device.
To disable the Adaptec Expansion ROM:
1.
Start the system, and when prompted to configure the Adaptec controller, press

Select "Configure/View Host Adapter Settings" and press

Select "Advanced Configuration Options" and press
4.
Select "Host Adapter BIOS (Configuration Utility Reserves BIOS Space)" and press
5.
Press
until prompted to save the changes.

To disable the Mylex Expansion ROM:
1.
Start the system, and when prompted to configure the Mylex controller, press

At the first screen, select "BIOS Enabled" and press

Press any key to save the change and exit from the BIOS. The system will restart.

    Software Installing Intel Server Control (ISC) Software Intel Server Control (ISC) is the InterServe 9000 onboard instrumentation software, which must be installed to view instrumentation data. Before running ISC, you must install Internet Explorer 4.01 (or later); you can get this from the Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack CD delivered with your system.
  • Page 3 Reinstalling Windows NT Server If you must reinstall the operating system, Windows NT Server may not install properly if you start the system from the Setup CD; you must start the system from the Setup diskettes. If you must reinstall Window NT Server 4.0 and your system has more than 3 GB of memory, be sure to see Chapter 5 of the System Setup before you start.
