No Error Messages Displayed

If a POST error is detected before video display starts, a beep error message may
be generated. If so, refer to the list of beep codes in Information Assistant.
General Checks
All external cables and power cables are firmly plugged in.
The power outlet is working.
The computer and display are turned on. (The power-on indicator should
be illuminated.)
The display's contrast and brightness settings are correct.
Corrective Action
Check whether the drive from which you are booting
has the power and SCSI flat cables connected.
Check that the boot device is enabled in the
Hardware Security submenu under the Security menu
of the Setup utility. If possible, check the drive by
moving it to another system. If the problem persists,
contact your HP support organization.
Verify that the boot device has an operating system
installed.
Check that the keyboard is connected to the correct
connector (not the mouse connector) at the rear of the
system.
Replace the keyboard. If the problem persists, contact
your HP support organization.
Check that the mouse is connected to the correct
connector (not the keyboard connector) at the rear of
the system.
Replace the mouse. If the problem persists, contact
your HP support organization.
