The current tape operation is indicated with the following
marks:
PLAY
: Play
RE.W
: Rewind
FF
: Fast-forward
EJECT
: Cassette eject

: Recording, tape speed
PAUSE LP
: Recording pause, tape speed mode
REW + PLAY (EJECT, OFF)
: Current and memorized successive
operation

Zero return
O 2=1 FF + PLAY (EJECT, OFF)
: Memory return

: Freeze
INDEX +1 (–1) : Index search (index back search) and the
count number
Press COUNTER DISPLAY. Each press changes the on-
screen function display as follows:

Only the affected indicator is displayed for 5 seconds,
when the video operation mode changes.

When you record a video signal output from this VCR onto
another VCR, turn off the on-screen displav. Otherwise, the
mode indicators displayed on the TV screen will be
recorded on the tape.
The indicators will be continuously displayed while Index
Search or Zero Return is operating even if Auto Display has
been selected.
The remaining tape length indicator may not be displayed
correctly depending on the type or condition of the tape.
Also, the remaining tape length indicator may not be
displayed when you begin playback close to the end of the
tape.
