CHANNEL AUTO SET, then press F.
The CHANNEL AUTO SET screen appears on the TV
screen, and all available channels in your area are
scanned and stored in the memory of the VCR.
After scanning, the first located channel appears on the
screen.

If "AERIAL?" appears in the display
window after Channel Auto Set
Check the antenna connections and repeat from step 1.
If you still cannot receive the channels, set the VCR
channels manually. See "Adding or erasing VCR channels
manually." on the right.
(Presetting the VCR channels is necessary for recording TV
programs.)
To interrupt the Channel Auto Set, press OK.
If you use the VCR in Japan, select JAPAN in step 3.
Once you conduct Channel Auto Set, the previous settings will
, be canceled. .
CATV channels
CATV systems use letters and' numerals to designate
channels. The table below shows the channel numbers of
the CATV system and the corresponding channel number
displayed on this VCR. For more information on available
channels in your area, consult your local CATV company.

If Channel Auto Set does not set the VCR channel correctly,
add them manually for recording TV programs. Also, you
can erase the unnecessary VCR channels.
