Press the REC SYSTEM button corresponding
to the color system in which you want to record.
The Rec System indicator of the color system you
selected appears in the display window.
The Input System indicator of the TV program's color
system appears in the display window (NTSC is the
standard in the USA).

Press the OUTPUT SYSTEM button
corresponding
to the color system of your TV.
The Output System indicator of the color system you
selected appears in the display window.

You can monitor the recording picture on your TV.

Select the channel you want to record and the
tape speed, and start recording.

Press REC SYSTEM-SECAM/MESECAM
on the
front panel.
When the SECAM MODE is set to SECAM, the Rec
System SECAM indicator appears in the display window.

When the SECAM MODE is set to MESECAM, the Rec
System MESECAM indicator appears in the display
window.

Press the OUTPUT SYSTEM button
corresponding
to the color system of your TV.
Select the channel you want to record, and
start recording.

The SECAM/MESECAM color system is used in the following
areas:
SECAM : France
MESECAM : Eastern Europe, Middle Eastern
