SCANNING OPERATION
О
1) Program the desired frequéncies into memory channels.
See p. 37 for programming memory channels.
2) Push
the
[VFO/MEMO]
switch
to select
MEMORY
mode.
3) Adjust the [SQL] control to the threshold point.
e The green [RECEIVE]
indicator goes out.
4) Push the [SCAN] switch.
e "SCAN"
lights.
e The scan stops when a receive signal opens the squelch.
e The scan resumes after the signal disappears.
5) To change the scan speed or scan resumption, see Section
11-5.
6) Push the [SCAN] switch again to cancel the scan.
e Some switches also stop the scan.
See the diagram on
p. 39.

Do you have a question about the IC -765 and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
how to adjust the transmit bandwidth
To adjust the transmit bandwidth on the Icom IC-765, you can select between LSB and USB modes depending on the frequency band:
- USB is automatically selected on bands above 10 MHz.
- LSB is automatically selected on bands below 7 MHz.
- Push the [SSB] button again to switch between USB and LSB.
The SSB selectivity (bandwidth) is fixed at 2.2 kHz at –6 dB. There is no direct control to manually change the transmit bandwidth beyond selecting USB or LSB.
