If the fuse blows or the transceiver stops functioning, find
the
source
of the
problem
if possible,
and
replace the
damaged fuse with a new, rated fuse.
3 fuses are installed in the transceiver:
- Rear panel AC line fuse holder : 10 A for 120 V AC
5 A for 220 ~ 240 V AC
- Inside DC line fuse holders
: See the diagram at left.
The frequency
display 'may occasionally display erroneous
information, e.g., when first applying power.
This may be
caused externally by static electricity or other factors.
If this problem
occurs, turn the [POWER]
switch OFF.
Wait a few seconds, and then turn ON power again.
If the
problem continues, perform the following procedure:
1) Push the [POWER]
switch OUT to turn OFF the power.

Questions and answers
how to adjust the transmit bandwidth
To adjust the transmit bandwidth on the Icom IC-765, you can select between LSB and USB modes depending on the frequency band:
- USB is automatically selected on bands above 10 MHz.
- LSB is automatically selected on bands below 7 MHz.
- Push the [SSB] button again to switch between USB and LSB.
The SSB selectivity (bandwidth) is fixed at 2.2 kHz at –6 dB. There is no direct control to manually change the transmit bandwidth beyond selecting USB or LSB.
