Snapshots

Snapshots allow you to save your system configurations. For example, perhaps your store hours are
different during the summer months. You can create snapshots for different times of the year. This
will allow you to change the snapshot each summer without having to manually configure the system
each time. It is also a useful feature when you have several stores requiring the same configuration.
The snapshot can be applied to multiple base stations at the same time.
Copy or make a note of your device's serial number (found in the Serial Number column; see Fig-
ure 8.4). From the SETTINGS menu, select the SETTINGS SNAPSHOT tab. Then click the Create
Snapshot button on the right of the page. Before creating a new snapshot, first create a snapshot of
your current configuration and give it a unique identifier in the NAME field. For example, in the NAME
column of Figure 8.6, one snapshot named "Brianna test" already exists.
Now, go into your base station and make the new changes for your new configuration. Once you have
saved this new configuration, return here and create a new snapshot. Populate the necessary fields
and click the Create Snapshot button. The Settings Snapshots page will now have a new snapshot
added.
NOTE:
Snapshots are only stored for six months. You will receive a prompt several
days before a snapshot expires. You will need to save and renew it to store it for
another six months.
