Steering Control Calibration

The steering control calibration process allows the auto-steering system to learn the
hydraulic or mechanical capabilities of the machine for optimal steering performance in the
field.
Note:
When operating with a generic tuneset, the steering control calibration must be
performed to tune the auto-steer system to the machine. The Quick Calibration option is not
available when the machine make and model selections were set to the "Generic" option at
the beginning of the calibration wizard.

Auto-Steer Calibration

Note:
To ensure the calibration is successful, limit the number of starts and stops during the
auto-steer calibration process. If it is necessary to pause the calibration, turn the steering
wheel or press the Stop button on the field computer. Tap the foot/enable switch again to
resume calibration.
Note:
If an error message is displayed during calibration, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Codes
(DTC) for possible causes and corrective action steps to be taken.
Note:
During calibration, the machine will make several hard left and right turns. Adjust the
vehicle speed and location as necessary.
WARNING
The machine will steer automatically. Be sure the area around the
vehicle is clear of people and obstacles before engaging the
auto-steer system.
To disengage auto-steering at any time, turn the steering wheel
or select the on-screen Stop button.
