@ Playback tracking display
Indicates the tracking value when the tracking is being
adjusted with the tracking control buttons ®.
During shuttle search, "7" appears, indicating that the speed
is 7 times normal.
@® Operation mode indicators
Indicate the engaged mode with symbols.
@® S-VHS indicator
Lights during recording and playback in the S-VHS mode.
@ Recording mode indicator
Normally shows SP . When a tape recorded in the LP
mode is played back, LP appears, however the Still mode
will be engaged after a few seconds.
@ Cassette warnings indicator
Blinks if no cassette is loaded, or if a cassette with its safety
tab removed is loaded.
@ Condensation indicator
Lights when condensation occurs on the video heads. Make
it a rule to check-this indicator before recording or playback.
If it lights, do not use the unit for recording and playback
until the indicator goes off. Do not record or play back while
this indicator remains lit, otherwise the tape could be
damaged and become unusable in extreme cases.

@® Time counter and counter mode indicator
Displays the elapsed time or remaining time in minutes and
seconds.
COUNTER: Lights in the Counter mode.
T. REMAIN: Lights in the Remaining time mode.
If the battery pack is in place, the elapsed time is retained in
memory even after the power is turned off. With no battery
pack attached, the elapsed time memory is retained only for
two minutes. Battery replacement should be done promptly.
@ Recording/Playback audio level indicators
Indicate the audio level of the audio track selected with the
audio select switch @ during recording and playback.
