6. After all digits (hour, minute, second, frame) have been set,
press the PRESET button.
@ Counting starts immediately if the REC RUN/FREE RUN
switch has been set to FREE RUN in step 1.
© To change the setting, repeat steps from 3.
@ if you have pressed the HOLD button by accident, press it
again to return to the previous status.
Recording time codes
1. Set the VITC switch to ON.
2. @ With the REC RUN position selected, counting starts
when the VTR starts recording, and stops when it stops
recording.
e With the FREE RUN position selected, counting starts
immediately after the time data has been preset.
Whenever the VTR is recording, real-time time data is
recorded.
(Counting stops when the power is switched off. Be
careful.)

© Counting stops when the power is switched off. Therefore,
when using the FREE RUN mode to record real-time
data, the coincidence between the recorded and real-time
data will be lost if the power is switched off.
® Missing time data may occur at the end and/or start of
recording of different takes in the REC RUN mode. Pay
attention to this when using time codes.
