ment will open.

the camera.
Removing the memory card
After opening the compartment as described in steps
1 and 2, remove the memory card.
The AMS system allows camera settings to be retained as
scene files on a memory card
so that they can be recalled
whenever necessary.
If you keep a number of files according to shooting purposes,
you will be able to respond promptly to a variety of
applications.
Scene files
A scene file refers to a set of data consisting of camera
settings and adjustments preset by the memory function. Each
individual data item in the scene file is referred to as a
parameter.
There are two types of scene files: preset scene files in which
the parameters are preset according to shooting conditions,
and custom files into which the user can write his own settings
of parameters.
@ For the list of the parameters contained in scene files, refer
to the next page.
@ With some parameters, data is not compatible, even
between two GY-X1 units.
To make a custom scene file:
The parameters data in the preset scene files can be changed
by the user, and the resulting parameter settings can be stored
as a custom scene file.
@ Read the preset scene file which seems closest to the
intended shooting application.
@® Change the parameters as required.
@ Store the rewritten file as a custom scene file.
@ The rewritten file cannot.be stored as a preset scene file.
@ For reading and storing scene files, see pages 33 and 34.
For changing parameters data, see page 36.
Provided memory card
The provided memory card contains the following four scene
files:
@ PRESET INDOOR
@ PRESET OUTDOOR
@ PRESET STUDIO1
@ CUSTOM!
Custom scene file © hold data corresponding to the initial
settings preset prior to shipment. This can be rewritten by the
user.
