Video Cassette Handling
@ The GY-X1TC/GY-X1
employs only cassettes carrying the
SWVHSI9 and the
marks.
© Recording onto prerecorded tapes automatically erases the
previously recorded video and audio signals.
® An inverted cassette cannot be inserted.
Do not load and unload the cassette repeatedly without
allowing the tape to run at all. This will slacken the tape and
thereby damage it.
Make certain before loading the cassette that the tape is not
slackened. If there is any slack, turn the gear on the cassette
in the direction of the arrow to take up slack.
The cassette is equipped with a safety tab to prevent
accidental erasure. When the tab is removed, recording is
impossible. If you wish to record on a cassette whose tab
has been removed, use adhesive tape to reseal the slot.
To avoid excessive exposure to dust and fingerprints, do not
open the front tape cover.
It may not be possible to record on the first 5-second section
of a new tape due to winding margin.

@ Avoid storing the cassettes in humic or dusty places.
© Do not drop the cassettes. Do not expose them to violent
vibrations or shocks.
© Do not expose the cassettes to strong magnetic fields (near
a motor, transformer or magnet).
® Place the cassettes in cassette cases and position them
vertically.
Usable cassettes
It is recommended that you use the SE-C30 cassettes.
Cassette adapter
When
using compact video cassettes bearing the SVHSIa
mark with full-size S-VHS equipment, use a cassette adapter
compatible with S-VHS.
To play back recordings
made
by this unit on JVC's
professional video equipment (BR-S611, BR-S811, BR-S610,
BR-S810, BR-8600, BR-6600 and BR-7000), use the SA-CP
series cassette adapter for professional use.
@ Do not leave the unit in the Record-Pause mode for too long
to avoid discharging the battery and to protect the tape.
e When using this unit as a camera alone, remove the
cassette to protect the tape.
