When
recording the signals being shot with this unit onto
another VTR, connect as illustrated on the left.
@ When using a VHS VTR (not S-VHS), the use of the VIDEO
OUT connector is recommended. (GY-X1TC only)
@ The VITC time code can be inserted into the signal output
from the VIDEO OUT connector.

@ The start/stop trigger signal cannot be delivered to the
external VTR.
When multiple camera signals are processed via an SEG for
fades, mixes, wipes, etc., all cameras must be synchronized by
genlocking. For this purpose, apply a composite video signal
(VBS) or black burst (BB) to the camera's GENLOCK
INPUT
terminal.
@ It is not possible to genlock this unit with the VTR playback
signal. This could cause a sync failure or hue fluctuations.
This is not due to any defect of the unit, but because the
VTR_
playback
signa!
contains
timebase
errors
corresponding to the rotary system's wow and flutter.
If the VTR playback signal is to be used as a reference
signal, correct it using a timebase corrector.
Phase adjustment
The figure shows an example of a camera-SEG system. When
two or more cameras are used, the horizontal phase and color
phase of their output signais must coincide with each other with
respect to the reference signal externally applied to the
cameras.
For adjusment, use the following switches and controls on the
left side of the camera.
Horizontal sync phase: H control
Color sync phase:
Coarse switch 0, 120°, 240°
FINE control +60°
